Rodrygo sets a condition for leaving Real Madrid

The future of Brazilian winger Rodrygo Goes at Real Madrid remains uncertain, amid growing reports of his possible departure during the summer transfer window if the club decides to make a financial profit from selling him.

According to the Spanish program “El Chiringuito”: “Rodrigo is aware that he may be among the names Real Madrid will sacrifice this summer in order to achieve financial balance, but he has set one condition for leaving the Santiago Bernabéu: a move to Manchester City, under the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola.”

The program noted: “Rodrygo intends to move to Manchester City if the team fails to qualify for the Champions League next season.”

It added: “Rodrygo will wait until Xabi Alonso takes over as coach of the team to see if he will rely on him, especially since the Spanish coach is implementing a 3-5-2 formation with Leverkusen, a system that may not suit him.”

It’s worth noting that Rodrygo has not appeared for Real Madrid since being substituted at halftime of the Copa del Rey final on April 26, amid widespread uncertainty surrounding his condition.
