Roy Keane: Arsenal will win the Premier League easily if they have Mohamed Salah.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes Arsenal would have easily won the Premier League title if they had Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in their ranks.

Salah, 32, signed a two-year contract extension with Liverpool this week, ending months of speculation and public messages from the Egyptian star regarding a possible departure.

“There’s no doubt that Salah is a great example for all young players. We see him perform week in, week out, scoring goals and providing assists,” Keane told Sky Sports.

“If you put him at Arsenal, they would have won the league this year. That’s a testament to how good he is. I’m kind of pleased that they (Liverpool) have done the deal because you want to see the best players in the Premier League.”

“It was only a matter of time before they agreed on a contract. I think Salah deserves it. He’s a special player and, without a doubt, a top professional. When we talk about club changes and targets, and not renewing contracts for some players, every player has a different situation.”

He concluded: “We’ve seen Salah in numerous interviews. He’s a true professional, obsessed with fitness, and does his job perfectly. That’s why he had to get this contract. He couldn’t be allowed to leave for free.”
