Chelsea monitors the position of Carlo Ancelotti with Real Madrid!
In an unexpected surprise, Chelsea decided to target the signing of Italian Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, to succeed Graham Potter.
Chelsea recently sacked Potter due to the sharp decline in the results of the Blues, to appoint Frank Lampard as interim coach until the name of the new coach was settled.
The American ESPN network confirmed that Chelsea has set its sights on Ancelotti as one of the potential options, due to the Italian coach’s impressive success with Real Madrid.
She also indicated that the Blues are watching Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique and Mauricio Pochettino, to choose the most appropriate coach to lead the club’s long-term project.
These names are added to Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, in preparation for settling on any of them during the next few weeks.
In a related context, the journalist “Ben Jacobs” denied this news completely, stressing that Ancelotti is not on the short list of coaches candidates to lead the Blues.
It is noteworthy that Ancelotti spent two seasons with Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, and succeeded in achieving the English Premier League title in addition to the FA Cup.
