The draw for the 2025-26 Champions League has placed Real Madrid alongside Manchester City, Liverpool, Juventus, Benfica, Marseille, Olympiacos, Monaco, and Kairat Almaty.
This will be in the league stage of the new season.
The league stage has been completed with the 36 teams confirmed, with Qarabag, Benfica, Club Brugge, and Copenhagen joining the ranks of the qualified teams on Wednesday evening following the conclusion of the second leg of the final qualifying round.
Benfica vs. Fenerbahçe
Benfica qualified for the league stage of the Champions League after defeating Fenerbahçe 1-0 in the second leg of the final qualifying playoff on Wednesday evening.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu scored the only goal of the game in the 35th minute, securing Benfica’s place in the knockout stages after a goalless draw in the first leg. This eliminated Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho from the continental competition early in his European career with the Turkish team, leaving the veteran Portuguese coach out of the Champions League for the sixth consecutive season.
