Dortmund coach: We benefited from some luck against PSG… and the dream is not over yet

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic believes that his team benefited from a little luck during the match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Dortmund qualified for the Champions League final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain with a free goal at the Parc des Princes Stadium.

Terzic told DAZN after the match: β€œBefore the first match against PSV Eindhoven, we talked about how short the road to London might be. Last season, we lost the league in the last round at our home stadium, and I am happy that we might give the fans something in return for that.”

He continued, “We improved in every match, and in the end everyone noticed that we are the team that might surprise everyone in the end, and now I am happy that I reached the final with the team.”

He continued, “If I had to choose one word, it would be pride, because we are very proud of those moments and proud of my work crew, the team, and the club, and the dream is not over yet.”

He continued, “We suffered a lot, but we showed a good way of playing outside our stadium against a very strong team offensively and with great speed, but we kept a clean sheet in the two semi-final matches. This is unbelievable.”

He continued, “It is very surreal. I think we deserve to reach the final and we came here to face a team with great quality, but thanks to the teamwork and we also benefited from a little luck.”

He added, “Joy is the prevailing feeling. We were hoping to achieve more success in the German League, but this adds another reason to celebrate today.”

He stressed, “Paris Saint-Germain lost the first leg in a very equal manner, so it was natural for them to have great confidence in the match. If we played that match 10 more times, we might lose to them.”

He concluded, “I know that we will not be the favorites to win the final match, no matter which team we face, and it will be very difficult, but it is just one match, and in one match, anything is possible, and we have already proven that.”

Dortmund will meet in the final with the winner of the match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, which will be held tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
