Newcastle reach agreement with England goalkeeper

Newcastle United have reached an agreement to sign England international goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Southampton.
According to Sky Sports, the deal will be on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.
Ramsdale, 27, received permission to travel for a medical on Wednesday.
Newcastle’s move for Ramsdale comes after failing to sign James Trafford, who was also announced by Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
Newcastle are looking to secure a goalkeeper with international experience, with first-choice goalkeeper Nick Pope potentially set to join Manchester United.
Ramsdale was one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in the Premier League, but lost his starting spot at his former club Arsenal with the arrival of Spanish goalkeeper David Raya.
