Details of Ekitike’s transfer to Liverpool

Liverpool is awaiting the arrival of French striker Hugo Ekitike in England in the coming hours to complete his transfer to the Reds this summer.

Journalist Fabrice Hawkins revealed on his X account that Ekitike received the green light from Eintracht Frankfurt to travel to Liverpool for a medical.

Liverpool completed its agreement with the German club in the past few hours to sign the 23-year-old for a substantial fee.

The Athletic newspaper revealed the details of the anticipated deal after Liverpool completed its agreement with Frankfurt, reporting a value of £79 million.

The agreement stipulates that Liverpool will pay £69 million, plus another £10 million in additional incentives.

In return, the young striker has agreed to sign a six-year contract once he passes his medical, in preparation for his travel to Asia to join Liverpool’s pre-season tour.
