Barcelona awaits the success of the Manchester United coach’s plan

Barcelona is preparing to make a significant sum of money from selling one of the Portugal national team’s stars, amidst interest from England.

According to the Portuguese newspaper “Record,” Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is interested in signing Sporting Lisbon winger Francisco Trincao.

There is speculation that the Red Devils may submit an offer of between €35 and €40 million to secure the Portuguese winger.

Amorim coached Trincao at Sporting Braga before his move to Barcelona and subsequent transfer to Sporting Lisbon.

Other teams, such as Arsenal and Newcastle, are also said to be on Trincao’s radar.

Barcelona is monitoring any developments regarding Trincao’s future, as they could still generate additional funds from his sale.

Barcelona sold Trincao to Lisbon in the summer of 2023 for €10 million, including €3 million on loan and €7 million as a permanent transfer.

However, the Catalan club retained 50% of any future sale of the player, which could provide an exceptional source of income for the club.

In addition, Barcelona has a buyback option for €25 million, which can be activated until 2026.

If Trincao is sold to Manchester United for €40 million, Barça will receive €20 million, according to the agreed terms.
