After only 16 minutes.. Juventus player asks to leave

A Juventus player has asked to leave the team during the current summer transfer window, in light of the difficulty of finding a regular playing opportunity.

The Italian website “Calciomercato” reported that Thiago Diallo, the Juventus defender who joined the team last January, has asked to leave Juve after only 8 months of his transfer to the Old Lady.

The 24-year-old central defender joined Juventus in January from Lille in a deal worth 3.6 million euros in addition to 1.5 million in bonuses.

Thiago has played only 16 minutes for Juventus since joining, as he entered as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Monza in the last match of the Italian League last season.

The website explained that Diallo is not part of the plans of new coach Thiago Motta, as he did not participate in any friendly matches played by the team before the start of the season.

It indicated that Juventus is looking to include Thiago in a potential deal to bring in the Porto Galeno winger.
