Manchester United player Lenny Yoro undergoes surgery

A Manchester United player underwent surgery in the past few hours, after suffering a severe injury during the preparation period.

It concerns the young French defender Lenny Yoro, who recently joined the English club from the French club Lille this summer, who was injured during a friendly match against Arsenal.

Manchester United announced in an official statement, today, Monday, that Yoro underwent a successful foot surgery.

It was explained that the 18-year-old will begin rehabilitation immediately, in order to recover and regain his full fitness, after about 3 months from now.

Previous press reports indicated that Yoro suffered a fracture in the metatarsal, which was a shock to Dutch coach Erik Ten Hag, a few days after the player joined the Red Devils.

Ten Hag is currently seeking to bring in his compatriot Matthijs de Ligt, Bayern Munich defender, to fill this gap, especially after the departure of the French Raphael Varane at the end of his contract.
