Liverpool fulfills Klopp’s desire

Liverpool’s management decided to begin negotiations to fortify one of the team’s players, based on the desire of German coach Jurgen Klopp, who wants to keep him at Anfield for more years.

The German coach asked to renew the contract of Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas, who joined the Reds three years ago from Olympiacos.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Liverpool wants to extend the player’s contract for an additional two years, which means that he will continue at the club until at least the summer of 2027.

Tsimikas played only 62 games with the Reds, scoring the decisive penalty in the victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup Final.

Klopp wants to keep the Greek full-back for a long time, despite having relied on him this season only once as a substitute, after his participation against Bournemouth last August.

It is noteworthy that Tsimikas crowned Liverpool with the FA Cup and the English Professional League Cup.
