Guardiola praises Haaland: He has become at the level of Messi and Ronaldo

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola praised Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who scored two goals against Southampton in the match that was held today, Saturday, in the English Premier League.

Haaland reached 30 Premier League goals after scoring a brace in Manchester City’s victory over Southampton, which ended 4-1 in the thirtieth round of the English Premier League.

Guardiola said in his statements after the Southampton match: “We lived two decades with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but Haaland is at this level. He scored a lot of goals. I am very happy for him.”

He added, “His second goal against Southampton was amazing. It is not easy to catch the ball in the sky and put it on the grass. His talent is really good. We need him. He was not at his best in the first half, but his goal changed the game.”

“Southampton were amazing in the first half, it was really organized, we weren’t a bit good, we were lucky to score before halftime but the second half was much better,” the Manchester City coach told Sky Sports.

Manchester City ranks second in the English Premier League table, with 67 points, behind leaders Arsenal, with 72 points.
