Volendum’s confrontation with his counterpart Emmen in the 24th round of the Dutch League witnessed strong confrontations between the fans of the two teams and the police.

This came after the match ended with three goals against a single goal for the home team, who were late from a reverse goal at the beginning of the first half and then overturned the result.

The police published a statement after the meeting, confirming that the post-match confrontations continued outside the stadium, as the fans reached residential areas and continued to fight each other.

The police statement read: “Three policemen were injured, as they were beaten and some metal objects were thrown at them, but they were not admitted to hospital.”

It is worth noting that Volendum rose to 14th in the Dutch league standings after the confrontation, while Emman is still in 16th place with 18 points.
