Premier League coaches demand equality with players
Prominent coaches in the English Premier League are demanding the implementation of a new regulation that gives them equal rights with players.
According to the British newspaper The Sun, senior coaches in the English Premier League want the period of clubs’ dismissal of technical managers to be limited to transfer periods only.
Coaches feel that dismissals have become too easy for clubs, and they believe that it would be better if managements were allowed to dismiss coaches only in the summer or during the month of January.
A prominent coach said: “Players have contracts and laws that mean they do not move outside of transfer periods. Things should be similar for us.”
Last season in the English Premier League witnessed 14 dismissals, the most prominent of which were: Antonio Conte, Thomas Tuchel and Patrick Vieira.
But this season, the Premier League has only witnessed the dismissal of 4 coaches so far.
