Mercato victim, Aubameyang left Chelsea’s Champions League list

Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea striker, was excluded from the list of the team participating in the Champions League.

This came after the new trio Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix and Mikailo Modric were included in the list.

There was no longer a seat to include Aubameyang in the list of 25 players, and therefore Chelsea coach Graham Potter decided to exclude him.

Chelsea are allowed to make 3 changes to the list after the winter transfer market.

The European list is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga – Marcus Bettinelli – Edouard Mendy

Defense line: Thiago Silva – Trevo Chalobah – Ben Chilwell – Reece James – Kalidou Coulibaly – Cesar Azpilicueta – Marc Cocoria – Wesley Fofana

Midfield: Enzo Fernandez – N’Golo Kante – Mateo Kovacic – Christian Pulisic – Ruben Loftus-Cheek – Raheem Sterling – Mason Mount – Denis Zakaria – Hakim Ziyech – Connor Gallagher – Carney Chukowimekia

Offensive line: Joao Felix – Mikailo Modric – Kai Havertz

Chelsea will return to the Champions League by facing Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16, after leading the group thanks to Aubameyang’s goals in the two victories over Milan.

The 33-year-old Gabonese’s suffering continues, after his departure from Arsenal after losing the captaincy and entering into a dispute with coach Mikel Arteta, to move to Barcelona last January, and his career revived for some time, before he left for Chelsea in the summer due to the arrival of Robert Lewandowski to Camp. no.

It is noteworthy that the Chelsea market in January only witnessed the signing of Enzo Fernandez, Mikailo Modric, Benoit Badiachel, Noni Madueki, Malo Justo, Andre Santos, David Datro Fofana and Joao Felix.
