New indications that Xavi Simons is close to joining Chelsea

Dutchman Xavi Simons did not train with Leipzig on Friday, continuing to fuel speculation about his future with the German club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicated that he is not expected to join the group for further training, as his decision to join Chelsea has become clear.
Romano noted on his personal page on X that this is confirmed by the player’s removal of the name “Leipzig” from his Instagram bio.
Simons participated in 33 matches in all competitions for Leipzig last season, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists.
Leipzig finished seventh in the Bundesliga last season, missing out on European competition for the first time since their promotion to the Bundesliga.
Chelsea are looking to further bolster their attacking line, having recently signed Liam Delap, Joao Peder, Jimmy Gittens, Estevao, and Willian, building on last season’s success, which saw them win the Europa League and the Club World Cup.
