Kounde announces a decisive decision regarding his future

Barcelona right-back Jules Kounde has confirmed that he will renew his contract with the Catalan club as soon as he returns to Spain.

The Catalan team is currently in South Korea for two friendlies tomorrow and on August 4, as part of preparations for the 2025-26 season.

“Yes, everything is ready for me to renew my contract until 2030,” Kounde said in statements on the sidelines of the Asian tour, highlighted by the official account of European transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano on the X platform.

He added, “Things are moving quickly, and we’re just waiting to return to Barcelona to complete this step.”

It’s worth noting that Jules Kounde joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 from Sevilla and signed a contract until the summer of 2027.

The 26-year-old French international is a key player for Barça at both the center-back and right-back levels.
