Guardiola: I will stop coaching after Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has pledged to stop coaching after leaving the club, but he has yet to decide whether this will be a temporary hiatus or a permanent one.
Guardiola renewed his contract with Manchester City last November for two additional seasons. He intends to step away from football after the end of his time with the club, just as he did with Barcelona when he took a year off before coaching Bayern Munich in 2013.
Guardiola told ESPN Brasil: “After my contract with Manchester City ends, I will stop coaching. I’m sure of it. I don’t know if I will retire, but I will take a break.”
He added: “In the career of a coach, there are good and bad. The important thing is that the good ones are remembered for a longer period. There are new challenges as a coach, and I don’t know what will happen in the future. In the end, it doesn’t matter.”
He continued: “It has been a year full of lessons learned for me personally. I knew we would fall at some point, but we fell a lot.”
He concluded: “Now we have to sit together, learn and try to understand what we need to offer in the future.”
