Fresh talks to bring Joao Felix back to Chelsea

Chelsea have entered into new negotiations with Atletico Madrid regarding the signing of Joao Felix during the current summer transfer period.

The past few hours have witnessed a sudden failure in the transfer deal of young striker Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid to the Blues, despite the two clubs agreeing on the financial value.

For his part, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the start of new talks between the two clubs regarding a possible transfer of Joao Felix to the Blues, as part of the Conor Gallagher deal.

Gallagher arrived in Madrid in the past few days to complete his transfer to Atletico Madrid, coming from Chelsea.

The two clubs want to complete the Gallagher deal by including Joao Felix in it, after Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea failed.

Blues officials have begun talks with Jorge Mendes, Felix’s agent, who is in London these days, to decide the future of the player, who has also been linked with a move to Aston Villa.

Joao Felix, 24, previously wore the Chelsea shirt in the middle of the 2022-2023 season, and appeared with the team in 20 matches, scoring only 4 goals.
