Alvarez signs for Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have completed the deal for Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, coming from Manchester City during the current summer transfer period.

The Argentine international arrived in the Spanish capital “Madrid” yesterday, Sunday, to complete the procedures for his transfer to the Rojiblancos.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alvarez signed his transfer contracts to the Madrid club today, Monday, after successfully passing the medical examinations.

He explained that the deal was not affected by the failure of Samu Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea in the past hours.

Alvarez will become the most expensive sale in Manchester City’s history, worth 95 million euros, including 20 million as additional incentives.

The deal is expected to be officially announced within the next few hours, so that Alvarez will become a player in the ranks of Atletico Madrid.

It is worth noting that the 24-year-old had previously expressed his desire to have a greater role with Man City due to his marginalization in major matches, according to him, before he waved the idea of leaving.
