Neymar: Vinicius will win the Ballon d’Or

Neymar da Silva believes that Vinicius Junior is the one who will win the Ballon d’Or this year, after he won the Spanish League title with Real Madrid and contributed to the Royal team winning the Champions League title.

Neymar said, on the sidelines of a solidarity auction in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo: “With regard to Vinny, certainly the Ballon d’Or will go to him… I support him.”

He added: “A great friend that football has given me. I am sure he will win the Ballon d’Or. He is amazing, and carries the flag of our country all over the world. We are very happy and support him.”

Fini was chosen as the best player in the last edition of the Champions League, during which his club, Real Madrid, won its fifteenth title in the continental championship.

This season, Vinicius Junior played 39 matches in which he scored 24 goals, according to Real Madrid data.

The 23-year-old player is scheduled to join the Brazilian national team’s training camp in America in the coming days to prepare for the Copa America tournament, which will start on June 20 and may become the culmination of his wonderful season.
