Manchester United announces the absence of Martinez for the end of the season…and determines Varane’s position

Manchester United announced, today, Friday, the details of the injury of the duo, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, and the period of their absence from the stadiums.

And United stated on its official website that it was confirmed that Lisandro Martinez was absent until the end of the season, after he suffered a fracture in the metatarsal bone in his foot.

However, the Argentine defender is expected to make a full recovery in time to be ready to start next season.

Martinez was injured in the 86th minute after Manchester United drew 2-2 with Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

Manchester United also announced Varane’s absence for a few weeks after the foot injury he suffered in the first half against Seville.
