Chelsea announces a group iftar for Muslims during Ramadan at Stamford Bridge
In one of the first joyous cases for Muslims ever, English club Chelsea announced, Monday evening, that a collective Iftar will be held for Muslims during the current March 26, which will coincide with the 4th of the holy month of Ramadan.
And the club’s official website stated on its official website via the Internet, that the club decided to host Muslims at Stamford Bridge Stadium on March 26, corresponding to the fourth day of the holy month of Ramadan, to be the first time for the blues and the stadium.
The English club statement indicated that this event will be the largest in England, knowing that it will provide the opportunity to participate in conversation and safe spaces. It will be organized in cooperation with the Ramadan Tent Charitable Foundation, which was established in 2013.
Simon Taylor, Chairman of the Chelsea Foundation, said: “I am delighted to announce the Iftar Open alongside the Ramadan Tent project.
He added, “We are extremely proud to be the first club in the Premier League to do so. Acknowledging Ramadan and our Muslim community is an important aspect of our work in promoting religious tolerance and I look forward to welcoming everyone on Sunday 26 March.”
